Robert "Pete" Lewis Whittaker was born on April 1, 1957 in Giles Memorial Hospital. He gained his wings on April 21, 2023 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. He is proceeded in death by his parents James and Hazel Fisher Whittaker, and two sisters Marie Dalton Ratcliffe and infant sister Vanessa Fisher. Also proceeded in death by his wife Kathy Keffer Whittaker.

Left to cherish his memories are his children; Robert Lewis Whittaker Jr., Blaine Lee Whittaker (Cassie Wheaton), Angelina Faith Whittaker (Angelia Boner); one grandson Robert Lewis Hylton; a brother Danny Gene Fisher (Margie); nieces are Mary Jane Dunford (Russell), Tammy Marie Dalton (AJ), Michelle Fisher Albert (Robbie); and a nephew Berley Ralph Dalton Jr. He also fathered and mentored Russell and Frankie Dunford.

Those that knew him knew how much he loved FORDs and tinkering with them. He was also known for his duties in construction from vinyl siding to roofing. He could do anything he set his mind to. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none, says Blaine.

There will be no services conducted for Mr. Whittaker at this time as it was his wishes. While floral arrangements are appreciated, the family suggests memorial contributions to be made to Kendall Funeral Home to assist in offsetting the cost of his arrangements.
