Roger Lee Dodson, 64, of Poplar St. in Narrows, departed this life Monday morning, April 18, 2016 at his home in the loving care of his family. Born in West Virginia on December 31,1951, he was a son of the late Virgil Howard and Susie Harless Dodson. Roger was retired from the home construction trades.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife Sheila Carter Dodson; his son and daughter-in-law Jermire and Mary Dodson of Narrows; his daughters and sons-in-law Karrie and Justin Carter of Pembroke and Ashley and Johnny Meredith of Pearisburg; his grandchildren Zachary Williams, David Williams, Austin Harris, Haleigh Meredith, Jeremy Dodson, Robbie Dwyer, Summer Dodson, and Alisha Wilston; his great-grandchildren Jase Wilston, Justin Wilston, and Emilea Hinkle; his half-brothers Nathan and Katherine St Clair of Troutville, and Michael Dodson of Troutville.
