Ronald Gene Jones, 59, of Goldbond, departed this life Thursday, April 2, 2009 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA after a long illness. He was born in Charleston, WV on January 25, 1950. He had been employed in the coal mines and as a trucker. Ronnie was a veteran of the U S Army, Viet Nam War. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Allen Jones.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Lottie Pearman Jones; his parents Junior Lee and Carol Sue Jones of Dixie, WV; his children Michael Gene Jones of Marmet, WV, Barbie Jones of Ohio, Roanld Jones, Jr. of Ohio, Vanessa Alley of Goldbond, Lynn Brown of Goldbond, Lee and Mary King of East Palapka, FL; his grandchildren Thomas "Doc" Brown, Heather Harris, Isabel King, Zachary King, Caitlin Lilly; his sisters and brothers-in-law Linda and Jimmy Jarrett of Ameagle, WV, Brenda and Wally White of Dorothy, WV, Veronica Bird of Athens, WV, Anita Carol and Billy Matics of Handley, WV; his brothers and sisters-in-law Darrell "Chip" and Amy Cantby of Standford, FL, Richard and Nina Jones of Eunice, WV; 11 nephews and nieces; 8 great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 6:30 in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with The Rev. Larry Dale Snider officiating. Following Ronald's request his body was cremated following the services. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
