Ronald Wayne Lucas

Ronald Wayne Lucas, a cherished father, brother, fiancé, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, in Pearisburg, Virginia, at the age of 60. Born on July 9, 1965, in Virginia, Ronald lived a life marked by dedication, joy, and the love of those around him.

Ronald, was the beloved son of the late Claude Swanson Lucas and Anna Claudine Lucas. He grew up surrounded by a close-knit family, which included his caring brothers, Gary "Mouse" Lucas and his wife Shelby, Richard "Redd" Lucas and his wife Melissa, and Barry Lucas and his wife Millie. His life was further enriched by the love and companionship of his daughter, Alexandria Lucas, who was the apple of his eye, and his fiancée, Jill Davis, with whom he shared many beautiful moments. Ronald's home was made complete by his furbabies, Jake and Annie, who were his constant companions and brought him immeasurable joy. His love for his pets was a reflection of his caring and nurturing spirit. He was an uncle to several nieces and nephews, each of whom he cherished deeply.

Ron's journey as a dedicated truck driver for JB Hunt showcased his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family. He was a respected colleague and friend to many in the trucking industry.

In his personal life, Ronald was an avid outdoorsman in his early years, with a particular fondness for fishing. He reveled in the tranquility of nature and the thrill of the catch, creating memories that would last him a lifetime. As time went on, Ronald found solace in "piddling" with his vehicles, a hobby that allowed him to tinker and keep his hands busy, often resulting in a well-running engine or a freshly polished chrome.
