RONNIE LEE CHAPMAN, 65, of Orchard Grove Lane, Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday evening, December 7, 2017 in the care of Carilion Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Giles County on November 2, 1952 he was a son of the late Elizabeth Chapman and Ray King, Jr. He was also preceded in death by a brother Charles King. Ronnie gave several years of his life to his country as he served in the United States Army, was trained and worked as a cook and on production at factories.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved companion for the last twenty-four years, Barbara Stump of Pearisburg; his son Justin Chapman of Narrows; his daughter Kimberly Price of Pearisburg; his grandchildren Daniel Stump, Gabriel Price, and Maleea Chapman; his step-mother Cleo King; his brothers Jimmie Chapman, Richard Lee Johnson, and Raymond King; his sisters Mary Alice James, Rachel King-Rozzel, Alfreda King-Williams, and Reda King; his good friends Shirley Johnson and Michelle Spicer; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, December 10, 2017 at 4:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke with The Rev. Gary Alexander and The Rev David Chapman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
