Obituary

Roy Clayton Spicer, 63, of Federal St. in Rich Creek, went to be with the Lord from Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg on Wednesday April 6, 2005. Born in Giles Co on July 23, 1941 he was a son of the late Cover C. and Ethel Mae Whittaker Spicer. He was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant with twenty years service, was a Dale Earnhart fan, an especially devoted Narrows Green Wave supporter and never missed a football game; was a Christian and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Pearisburg. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Eula Mae Christian.



He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of fifteen years Linda Stafford Spicer; a son Larry Spicer of Pulaski; a step-son Chris Rotruck of Pulaski; a brother Howard Spicer of Narrows; his sisters Mary Lou Belcher of Rocky Gap and Geneva Frazier of Hoges Chapel; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Bill Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
