Roy Estil Whittaker, Jr., 76, of Stateline Road, Narrows, departed this life Sunday evening, October 21, 2012 at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Newport on February 10, 1936, he was a son of the late Roy E. Sr. and Josephine Criner Whittaker and was also preceded in death by his brother Martin Whittaker.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Nancy Comer Whittaker; his brother Jesse Whittaker of Pearisburg; and his sister Frances W. Ratcliffe of Pulaski.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with the Rev. Billy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the service.
