Ruth Imogene Mann Robertson, 85, of Rich Creek, departed this life Thursday morning, August 2, 2012 at the home and in the loving care of her niece Frances Ussery in Concord, NC. Born in the Lindside Community in Monroe County, WV on January 14, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Frank Snider and Louella Frances Broyles Mann. She was a graduate of Narrows High School and National Business College in Bluefield. Ruth was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Rich Creek where she enjoyed serving with the WMU and as past-president. For many years she was employed in the offices of Dr. E S Carr in Narrows and later as insurance administrator at Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Thomas Frederick (Freddie) Robertson, her brothers James, George and Emmett and her sister Emily.

She leaves to cherish her memory her step children Wesley Dean Robertson of Giles County and Shaun Holdren of Oakvale, WV; her five grandchildren and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 6, 2012, at 3:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, VA with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Rich Creek. The family will receive friends at the Funeral home one hour before the services.
