Sally Agnes Merix, 85, of Ripplemead, died Friday, March 11, 2005 at Riverview Nursing Home in Rich Creek. Born on May 7, 1919 she was a daughter of the late Charles and Salonia Williams McGuire. She was preceded in death by her husband George Washington Merix, two grandsons Joey and Todd Merix, one great-grandson Chris Merix, three brothers and two sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter and son-in-law Joann and Larry Burnett of Narrows; two sons and daughters-in-law Edward and Martha Merix, Fred and Lisa Merix all of Ripplemead; four sisters Beulah Radford of Rich Creek, Glenna Morris of Beckley, WV, Dorothy Young of Pembroke and Ruby Willis of Georgia; ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday March 13, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Eddie Kendall and Pastor Homer Sawyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Fillinger Cemetery at Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
