Scott Boyd Osborne, 72, of Fairmont, WV died on Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at Monongalia Gerneral Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Her was born April 15, 1937 in Smyth County, VA a son of the late Arch Seymour and Lillian Etta Hoston Osborne. Mr. Osborne proudly served his country in the U S Air Force for seven years. He was a graduate of VPI and employed with Alcan Aluminum for 25 years as a mechanical engineer. Scott was a member of the Elks Lodge in Clarksburg, WV and liked to golf. He enjoyed studying foreign languages and took a Spanish class at Fairmont State University. In addition to his parents, Scott was preceded in death by his brother Allen Osborne, his sister Velma Virginia Osborne White and his brother-in-law James Roberts.

He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Bonnie Collins Osborne; his son Steven Osborne of Fairmong, WV; his sister Helen Kathleen Osborne Roberts of Saltville, VA; his niece and hephews Judith White Harry, Tennis Seymour White, Charles Keith White and Larry Lee White and their spouses; six great nieces; three great nephews; eight great-great nieces and nine great-great nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Carpenter & Ford Funeral Home in Fairmont, WV Thursday at 1:00 PM with Pastor Skip Vincent officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Friday May 22, 2009 in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating.
