Shelburn Miller "Shelley" Williams, 67, of Riner and formerly of Pembroke died Thursday evening August 18, 2005 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Radford. Born on September 10, 1937 he was a son of the late Anne Miller and Doyle S. "Doc" Williams of Pembroke. Shelley was a graduate of Pembroke High School, VPI, and The Medical College of Virginia. For many years he worked as a pharmacist in the Richmond area, locally, and at his fathers business, Pembroke Pharmacy.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Edna Jean West Williams; his daughter Diane Louise Williams of Myrtle Beach, SC; his mother-in-law Louise West of Riner; and a maternal uncle J. David Miller of Newport.

A memorial service will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home after the services. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the church of choice.
