SHIRLEY ANN CARBAUGH LUCAS, 76, of Pearisburg, departed this life Thursday morning, October 12, 2017 at her home in Wilburn Valley in the loving care of her family and hospice. Born in Eggleston on May 22, 1941 she was a daughter of the late Frank Ollar and Virgie Bailey Carbaugh. Shirley attended Shady Grove United Methodist Church at Poplar Hill and was a member of the Eggleston High School Class of 1959 (Valedictorian). She loved all children and quickly became "Nana" to every child within reach and especially her own grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother "Buddy" Frank Miller Carbaugh.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 54 years Dickey Albert Lucas; her son Tim Lucas of Richmond; her daughters and sons-in-law Tammie and Richard Stoneman of Pulaski, Trina and Vince Wheeler of Pearisburg; her grandchildren Justin Stoneman (Erika), Allison O'Neale (Justin), Rachel Patteson (Zach), Lukas Wheeler; her great-grandsons Colten and Colby Patteson and Theodore Stoneman; her sisters Jane Carbaugh of Narrows and Sue Thompson (Fred) of Pembroke.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow Street, Pembroke. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before the services. Graveside services will be conducted Monday morning at 11:00 am at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
