Stephen Alphfonzo Huffman, 55, of Pembroke died Thursday afternoon July 7, 2005 at Wellmont Bristol Regional Hospital in Bristol, Tennessee after a long illness. Born in Giles County on March 12, 1950 he was a son of Edna Poff Huffman of Pembroke and the late Martin Huffman. He was a graduate of New River Community College in the drafting department and had been employed with The Kroger Co. and as a sales representative with Malone and Hyde.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved mother Edna Poff Huffman of Pembroke; two devoted sisters and brothers-in-law Stephanie and James Mullins of Ripplemead, Heather and Greg Smith of Pembroke; a son Jamie Huffman; a niece Meghan Mullins and a nephew Logan Smith.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday July 9, 2005 at 2:00 PM in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with Pastor Shahn Wilburn officiating. There will be no public visitation. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements.
