Steven William Myers, 59, of Doe Creek Road, Pembroke departed this life Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at his home after a long illness. Born in Montgomery County on April 20, 1950 he was a son of Fannie Mae Williams Myers of the home and the late Albert Hampton Myers. He was a graduate of Giles High School and retired from Lynchburg Foundry at Radford. He was preceded in death by his father, a son Chris Myers and a brother Albert Myers, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother with whom he made his home; his sons and daughters-in-law Aaron and Kim Myers of Mt. Lake, Anthony and Melissa Myers of Pearisburg; his six grandchildren; (and was expecting a great-grandchild in April), his sister Lois M. Anderson of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, October 18, 2009 at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in the Strother Williams Cemetery at Boyd's Chapel on the Brickyard Road.
