Thelma Charlene Hamblin, 70, of Bohan St. in Roanoke departed this life Monday February 11, 2008 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Born in Giles County on September 10, 1937 she was a daughter of the late E. M. "Mural" and Lucy Merix Jennelle. She was a graduate of Pembroke High School and was retired from Customer Service at Wal-Mart.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Glenn Miller Hamblin; a son Nelson Keyton, Jr. of the home; a daughter Trenda Anderson of Pittsburg, PA; a step-daughter Jennifer Campbell of Lynchburg; a brother Eddie Jennelle of Oakvale, WV; two sisters Dorothy Foreman of Washington, DC, Phyllis Wells of Botetourt Co., two grandchildren Andrew Bannister and Metrica Rodriguez; a step-grandchild Deven Campbell; three great-grandchildren Brianna Rodriguez, Tatianna Rodreguez, Reinery Jennelle.

Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 PM in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends for one hour before the services at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
