Timothy Lee Atkins, 60, of Pembroke, departed this life Sunday afternoon, December 8, 2019, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born in Pearisburg on June 2, 1959, he was a son of the late Curtis and Betty Kessler Atkins. He was a veteran of the U S Army, and retired from Virginia Tech. Timmy was a simple man, with many friends and was loved by all.

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Betty K Atkins of Maybrook; the love of his life Joyce McCormick; children Krista Blankenship and husband Matt of Pembroke; and Eddie McCormick and his fiancé Amy Buracker of Bear Springs; special grandchildren that he loved dearly, Amber, Tyler, Austin, Eli, and Alyssa; sister Sheryl and husband Dale Williams of Pembroke; brothers Joe Atkins and wife Teanessa of Maybrook and Glenn Atkins and wife Loretta of Pembroke; several neices and nephews.
