Vergie Leola Hare, 86, of Beckner Road, Pearisburg, departed this life Friday morning, February 14, 2014, at Giles Community Hospital in Pearisburg. Born in Lockbridge, WV on June 3, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William Harrison and Rosa Jane Gwinn Daniels. She was a Christian and member of Pearisburg Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Ward Hare, Jr. of Pearisburg, her son Butch Hite, her daughters Becky Curtis and Betty Goad, and her ten siblings.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Robert Ward Hare, III of Pearisburg; her eight grandchildren, her nine great-grandchildren; her niece and nephew Melissa and Jerry Gwinn, her special friend Ellen Weber all of WV.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with Pastor Shahn Wilburn and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Narrows. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6 until 8 pm.
