VIOLET LOUISE KIRK, 71, of Saunders Road in Vinton, VA, departed this life Saturday evening at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born in Giles County, VA on April 28, 1945 she was a daughter of the late Orla Harold and Ruth Christine Harless Goodwin. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray Kirk and her daughter Cynthia Mullins.

She leaves to cherish her memory her sons Terry Kirk of Bedford Co, Donnie Lee Kirk of Bedford, Co and James Kirk, Jr. of Roanoke Co.; her daughters Rose Marie Kirk of Bedford, and Angie Rochelle Cooper; her brothers Donald Goodwin of Kire in Giles County and Harold Goodwin of Florida; her sister Mary Scaggs of Salem and her five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St. Pembroke with burial following in the Goodwin Family Cemetery at Kire in Giles County.
