Virginia Lee (John) Peters, 77, of Pearisburg, departed this life Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center in Christiansburg. Born in Pearisburg, on December 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Sidney Levi and Nora Ellen Conley Peters. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Sidney Levi Peters, JR., Robert E. Peters, and a sister Nellie G. Donathan Whittaker, a niece Julia Overton. Virginia was in the production of furniture, with Cat Furniture Company.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, James (Jim) and Patty Peters of Pembroke, and Edward (Ed) Peters of Sinking Creek; two sister-in-laws Della Jones, and Elua Peters both of Maryland, and many nieces and nephews, a special nephew and caregiver James (Jug) Donathan of Pearisburg.
