Walter Macleatus Mills "Mac", 64, of Christiansburg, departed this life Monday afternoon, May 4, 2015. He was born in Pearisburg, VA on March 29, 1951 a son of the late Walter Caudill Mills and Essie Beatrice Gilmore Mills. He had been employed as an electrician and auto mechanic before his disability. Mac was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Franklin Emmanuel (Buddy) Mills and Ralph Gilmer Mills.

He leaves to cherish his memory his children Michael Mills of Newport, NC and Shannon Leslie Mills Zeek and her husband Donald of Havelock, NC; his five grandchildren and his sister and her husband Dwendolyn Mills Lilly and Carry of Christiansburg.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 3:00 pm in Sunset Cemetery at Christiansburg with ministers Eddie Kendall and Leslie Zeek officiating. Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
