Walter Patton Williams, 62, of Pembroke died Friday evening, January 7, 2005 at Heritage Hall Health Care in Blacksburg after a long illness. Born in Giles Co on January 17, 1942 he was a son of the late Roscoe P. and Dorothy Martin Williams. For many years he was employed with Stanley Furniture and was a member of The Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Truman Williams.

He leaves to cherish his memory two beloved sisters Gertrude W. Moore of Salem and Lorraine W. Young and husband Jim of Newport; several beloved nieces and nephews and a special niece Sandra Kirk.

Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM at Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
