Wanda Jean Jones, 74, of Pembroke, departed this life Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke. Born in Pembroke, on December 31, 1938, she was a daughter of the late Noel EJ and Nora Lafon Williams. She was retired from Food Service at Virginia Tech and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, New River Ward at Pembroke. Wanda was a 1956 graduate of Pembroke High School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Bobbie Ray Jones in 1973, her brother E J Williams, and her best bud Mittens her kitty.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter and son-in-law Mitzi and Robert Kidd, Sr. of Narrows; her brother and sister-in-law Richard Allen and Linda Kay Williams of Hampton; her sister and brother-in-law Gail and Rodney Smith of Pembroke; her grandchildren Niccole Sharee Kidd and Robert Allen Kidd, Jr.; her great granddaughter Aaliyah Faith Kidd (Bug), her very special friend Henry Garnand of Christiansburg; and her nephews Ronnie and Gary and her nieces Jennifer and Chasity.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 pm in the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg.
