Wanda Marie Stanley, 65, of Pearisburg, died Monday evening January 1, 2007 in Carilion New River Valley Medical Center at Radford after a long illness. Born in Giles County on August 12, 1941 she was a daughter of the late Frank and Beulah Pyles Stanley. She was retired from Charlie's Restaurant and The Village Inn. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Stanley.

She leaves to cherish her memory three daughters Martha Payne of Pearisburg, Barbara Long (Harold) of Narrows, Lynn Rucker (David) of Narrows; a son "Bubby" Dalton of Narrows; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters Brenda Lafon (Jimmy) of Pembroke, Anna Jean Farley of Pembroke, Elanor Kelly or Roanoke, Sue Mattok of Pearisburg, Mildred Whittaker of Pearisburg; three brothers Buck Stanley of New Castle, David Stanley of Craig Co., Kenneth Stanley of Hillsville.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke with The Rev. Bobby Perkins and Pastor Eddie Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery at Hoges Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours before services.
