Wayne Victor Vaught, 74, of Rich Creek, VA, departed this life Friday afternoon, August 17, 2018 at his home. Born on Nov 3. 1943 at Goodwins Ferry, (Spruce Run) he was a son of the late Rev Virgil V Vaught and Inez Duncan Vaught. He had been manager of truck stops in several places and for several years was the owner and when he retired was managing a furniture store. Wayne was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church in Narrows, and a graduate of Giles High School, Class of 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Vaught.

He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of 54 years Carol Robertson Vaught; his sons and daughters-in-law Jeffery and Karla Vaught of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Steven and Connie Vaught of Ontario, Canada; his daughter and son-in-law Melissa and Kevin DeFord of Richmond; his brothers and sister-in-law Keith and Debbie Vaught of Max Meadows and Chester Vaught of Skippers, VA; his sister Lois V Bryant of Pembroke; his grandchildren Brittany DeFord, Justin DeFord, Steven Vaught, Jr., Joshua Vaught, Misheal Smith, Dalton Smith; his great-grand-children Kaden and Luke; his mother-in-law Janet Bowles Robertson of Narrows.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 pm in Cornerstone Pentecostal Holiness Church on College St in Narrows with Pastor Keith Linkous officiating. Burial will follow in Angels Rest Memory Gardens, Narrows, VA. The family will receive friends at the church Sunday evening from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
