William Spencer Shortridge "Bill", 57 of Pearisburg, VA departed this life Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in the care of Carilion New River Valley Medical Center after a short illness. Born October 9, 1962, Bill was the son of the late Ida Ethel Estep.

Left to cherish his memory are his step-father, Clarence Estep; brothers, Dallas Surber of Stafford, Mark Lockheart of Christiansburg, VA, and Harold Surber of Dublin; sisters, Patricia Melvin of Stafford, VA, and Melissa Miller of Christiansburg, VA; his guardian and caregiver, Donna Stafford; Special friends, Mary Hensley and staff of Wall Residents, and his Elm Tree Family.

There will be a funeral service held Thursday, July 3, 2020 in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM with Eddie Kendall officiating. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM in the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM July 3, 2020 in the Kendall Funeral Home Chapel.
