William Anthony Brownell, 61 of Pembroke, VA departed this life August 28, 2023 in his home.  Born in Illinois on June 18, 1962 he was a son of the late Lewis Brownell and Nancy Prilliman Brownell.

William had many interests in life.  He first loved to travel whether by car or hopping on a train. His varied interests in transportation also included, tinkering with vehicles and playing with drones.  His peace was found in tendering firepits for Floyd Fest.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Phillip Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory are his brother, Jim Brownell of Illinois; sister, Julia Johnson of Pembroke; several nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.
