"Tommy" William Thomas Lindsey, 68, of Pearisburg, departed this life Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born in Pearisburg on May 28, 1950, he was a son of the late James William and Ella Poff Lindsey. Tommy was a veteran of the US Army, after being disabled in a car accident became a skilled crocheter, and was a beloved member of the "family" at Giles health and Family Center in Pearisburg.

He will be dearly missed by his caring sisters Debbie Lindsey Leifsnyder of Dublin and Beverly Joyce Lindsey Kast of Christiansburg; his brother and sister-in-law Walter Cory and Julie Lindsey of South Carolina; and his neices and nephews Samara, Marissa, Ethan, Bobby, Shahn, Hannah, Abby, Kate and Nate.

The family will receive friends at the Kendall Funeral Home, 605 Snidow St., Pembroke, Friday evening from 6 until 8 pm. Private family graveside services will be conducted Saturday, May 18, 2019 in the family cemetery. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com
