Woneda "Midge" Ruth Kessinger, 94, of Pearisburg passed from this life Tuesday evening August 15, 2006 in a Radford hospital. Born in Mercer County, West Virginia on February 24, 1912, she was a daughter of the late El and Myrtle Goodwin Meredith. She was retired from the Celanese Celco Plant at Narrows and was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Kemper Kessinger, a grandson Jeffrey Kessinger, a brother Marshall Meredith, and a sister Elsie Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son Ira Omer Kessinger of Fairlawn; three grandchildren Karen Clarke, Cheryl Allen, and Julie Hichingham; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 AM in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with burial following in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the services.
